What we do

Transparency in a noisy information environment

During major conflicts, social media accounts become primary news sources for millions of people. Journalists, researchers, and the public cite them regularly — often with little understanding of who runs them, how accurate they are, or what positions they hold.

OSIRIS rates these accounts independently. Every rating is based on a scored sample of posts, with the methodology and weights published openly. An account can hold a clear political stance and still score highly for factual accuracy — we separate those two things.
